Bunny Maloney/Characters

The ProtecTeam

The main characters. It consists of four anthropomorphic animals that live in an apartment. At their worst, they are a conflicted band of self-absorbed neurotics. But at their best, they're also the self-appointed superhero crime-fighters who combat the daily diabolical threats from Professor Debilouman and Modchi using the Bunnyganger. Also, the team's name is actually and canonically in CamelCase.

Tropes that apply to all of them:

• Badass Adorable
• Badass Normal: They don't need powers to kick Debilouman's butt...they've got a big frickin' robot!
  • The only exception however is in the pilot, where Candy Bunny (named as Rabby Quawaillie) had the ability to transform into Pinky Mimi Delalune, a parody of Sailor Moon (Usagi Tsukino's sailor senshi form, from Sailor Moon).
• Funny Animal
• Expressive Ears: Sometimes, for Bunny and Candy.

Bunny Maloney

Voiced by: Martial le Minoux (French), Matt Wilkinson (English)

A male pink rabbit and the titular main protagonist who plays the role as the main hero and captain of the Bunnyganger-28 robot in the ProtecTeam. He was born in a rabbit hutch (ironically on one of Debilouman's old farms, now gone).

• Butt Monkey
• Eyes Always Shut: He mostly has his eyes stuck in the "n n" expression in the pilot (though it looks more like Tsurime Eyes), with Candy Bunny.
• Jerkass: SO. MUCH. He was even more of a jerkass in the original pilot Pinpin le Lapin, when Jean-Francois had to inform that he couldn't play Dance Dance Revolution because of the Red Octopus robot (named as Takotank) that made him so annoyed that he outright had to hurt Jean-Francois. However, he also can actually get along well with Jean-Francois and sometimes with Candy despite the constant bickering and outright intense fights they've been in.
• Pink Means Feminine: Gender Inverted.
• Pale Females, Dark Males: Zig-Zagged, with Candy Bunny.
• Red Is Heroic: His combat suit mostly has the color red.
• Real Men Wear Pink: Literally. He also may sometimes cry complete with Ocular Gushers despite his rather masculine personality.
• Rhymes on a Dime: His name Bunny Maloney.

• Team Dad: Though he fails at being a father figure when he tried to take care of a baby rabbit in the episode "Rabid Rabbit".

Candy Bunny

Voiced by: Elisabeth Ventura (French), Jules de Jongh (English)

A female pink rabbit and Bunny's girlfriend who plays the role as the cheerleader on the ProtecTeam. She was found near one of Debilouman's hutches, in a basket of chocolate eggs.

Tropes:

• Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: She wears a red scrunchie on her left ear.
• All Women Love Shoes: She has a collection of shoes in her (and Bunny's) room.
• Beware the Nice Ones: Despite that she can be very nice, she has a LOW trigger temper and also can be very selfish.
• Butt Monkey
• Break the Cutie: A lot.
• Blush Sticker: Exaggerated.
• Comically Cross Eyed: Her default eye expression.
• Damsel in Distress: In "Casanova Clone".
• Eyes Always Shut: She mostly has her eyes stuck in the "n n" expression in the pilot, with Bunny Maloney.
• Drama Queen: In "A Wrinkle in the Protecteam", she gets overdramatic over the tiniest wrinkle she got.
• Heroines Love Dogs: Even though Potchi's not a dog (but Potchi acts like one), but still.
• Never Bareheaded: Exaggerated; she's never seen without her scrunchie...even when she's sleeping in her room's bed!
• Informed Attribute: She has an apron which she wears when she's cooking according to one of her dialogue in the episode "Text Message Madness" and the description on MoonScoop's website and the show's PowerPoint presentation, but we never see scenes of her cooking a dish onscreen.
• Only Sane Woman: Mostly can be this, alongside Stan Ookie.
• Pink Means Feminine: It's even her theme color!
• Pink Heroine: Her combat suit mostly has the color pink.

Jean-François

A rather mysterious character that has a French accent who plays the role of ideal sidekick and co-pilot in the ProtecTeam.

• Blue Is Heroic: His combat suit mostly has the color blue.
• Cartoon Creature: His ears are droopy, like a floppy-eared rabbit...but has a long tail, similar to that of a cat's (thus resulting into most fan theories that he's a cat-rabbit hybrid, or a "cabbit"). Sadly, we aren't actually sure what his species exactly is. Even MoonScoop doesn't officially confirm it!
• Dance Battler: In the episode "Oh! Busta-Para Dance".
• Multiple Languages, Same Voice Actor: His dialogue remains unchanged in the English dub.
• Only Sane Man: Mostly in the episode "Bunnies are from Mars" and in the pilot.
• Pokémon Speak: In fact, his species speak their own names!
• Pink Girl, Blue Boy: The Blue Boy to Candy Bunny's Pink Girl.
• Vague Age: Despite his voice sounds like he could be an adult, MoonScoop also doesn't officially confirm his age. According to MoonScoop's official website and the PowerPoint presentation, he "acts anywhere from 2 to 20".

Stan Ookie

Voiced by: Keith Wickham (English)

A tanuki technition that plays the role as the owner and the operator of the ProtecTeam HQ in the Protecteam and was born in Japan and went to the best schools in Silicon Valley in the United Hutches. Despite that he's from Japan, he doesn't sport a Japanese accent.

Tropes:

• I Am Not Weasel: He (and his species) are sadly a victim of this; they're confused for either a raccoon or a badger (he's been canonically called a badger in the show). Even his name (which is meant to be obvious that he is a tanuki) doesn't help. Thankfully, he doesn't mind that simple mistake.
• Only Sane Man: Mostly can be this, alongside Candy Bunny.
• Punny Name: Downplayed. It's possibly meant to be obvious that he's a tanuki (as described above).
• Pale Females, Dark Males: Inverted, his fur colors are a paler (and more of a pinker) shade of Blairo's.
• The Smart Guy

Candy Bunny's apartment/The ProtecTeam's apartment

Potchi

Bunny and Candy's (bizarre) pet that plays the role as the ProtecTeam's mascot. He also often chases the vacuum cleaner in the apartment.

Tropes:

• All Animals Are Dogs
• Base Breaking Character: In-Universe. By Candy, he's viewed as a cute little energetic creature that wants to play, but by Bunny, he's viewed as an annoying idiotic animal.
• Keet
• Mascot: As described above.
• The Chew Toy: In some episodes.
• Dogs Are Dumb: Even though he's not a dog, but still.
• Small Annoying Creature: The reason why he's sometimes resulted as The Chew Toy...well, at least by Bunny.
• Vague Age: Like Jean-Francois, MoonScoop officially confirms he has an unknown age.

The antagonists

Professor Débilouman

The main villain of the series that is the captain of submarine Tsunami.

• The Smart Guy: Mostly, but he also suffered in being an Idiot Ball.
• Vague Age: According to MoonScoop's website and PowerPoint presentation, his age is "old". Just how old he is anyway?

Modchi

Voiced by: Keith Wickham (English)

Debilouman's purple sidekick. He was created because Debilouman was jealous of the ProtecTeam having their own mascot (as confirmed by Nicolai "Meko" Chauvet).

• Deadpan Snarker
• Evil Knockoff: Of Potchi, as described above; except that he has a bump on his head, salmon-colored injury marks, red sclerae and the ability to talk. He's also smarter than Potchi.

A white spotless and udderless cow and Candy Bunny's best friend who helps her friends but can be annoying to others.

The bartender of the Aqua Bar at Bunnyville.
