Ballad of Faint Smiles by Artzenin

• Recommended by Marlee Cross
• Summary: "This is a what if Teresa didn't die?" epic tale.
• Comments: This is probably one of the best Claymore fics out there. The character's interactions are wonderfully done and everyone is In-Character. Clare grows up with Teresa's continual influence and is in some ways different than her canon portrayel, but in other ways exactly the same. The story has a sequel, Teresa's Lament which is also well worth the read.

One last time by Dany le fou

• Recommended by Marlee Cross
• Summary: Years after the final battle, a message prompts Clare to visit an old friend.
• Comments: Very sad, and with an unexpected ending that serves to increase the sense of tragedy and loss the story invokes.

Abyssal Dreams by Platinum Player

• Recommended by capeclare
• Summary: This is a "what if Clare was denied by the Organisation and instead picked up by Riful of the West story." 5 chapters in and fantastic.
• Comments: Despite only being 5 chapters in this story is very well done each of the characters are written realistically and the reasons behind their actions are well explained and in character. The author deserves applause for making Dauf into an intimidating figure once again as opposed to a blithering dolt, and Riful is equal parts sinister and sweet as one would expect of her in the manga itself. This story is well written and a great idea in this tropers opinion, the one quibble i do have is there are a few spelling errors but that is easy enough to look past with a story like this.

By the Sword by Kirika-sama

• Summary: "This is a what if Teresa didn't die?" Stunning beautiful brilliant are the only words i can use to describe this story.
• Comments: This is probably one of the best Claymore fics out there.It is the right mixture of beautiful imagery and realistic responses from both regular humans and Teresa and Clare. Teresa's perspective is done perfectly. A true example of Needs more love any more and i will not being doing this story justice.

Life Sucks! by Useful Oxymoron

• Summary: "Series of related and progressive short stories about some our Claymores and Awakened Ones trying to get by in the modern world among the hordes of ordinary humans. And suffering indignity upon indignity along the way as they do so..
• Comments: This is probably one of the best Claymore fics out there well worth the read.

Peaceful Phantom by Dany le fou

• Recommended by tenoreyequetis
• Summary: The battle is over, but Miria can't rest just yet. Can one human give her the peace she seeks?
• Comments: A sweet oneshot about Raki comforting the stoic Miria after the battle with the Org. No romance involved.

Shipping Fics

Stories focused on the romantic relationships between the cast.

The 'Unexpected' Series by Dany le fou

• Recommended by Marlee Cross
• Pairings: Raki/Clare, Tabitha/Miria...sorta, Raki/EVERYONE!!
• Summary: Isley's survival from the Abyss Feeders allowed Clare and Raki to reunite... But no one expected the consequences it would have on the Ghosts and the rest of the land.
• Comments: This fic is hilarious. There are some sexual situations but nothing too graphic (graphic enough that it's M rated though).

And Tears Yet Fall by Whutnot

• Recommended by Greatkingrat88
• Summary: Another fic where the premise is Teresa surviving, focusing on the romance between her and Irene. Initially, it is mainly a sweet, simple Warm and Fuzzy Feeling-oriented romantic fic, but it grows to have a very interesting plot.
• Comments: The writing is excellent, and the focus isn't just on Irene and Teresa, but on Clare, and on overthrowing the organization. The story really improves after a while, when they decide to overthrow the organization- all the while dealing realistically with Irene and Teresa's relationship. A great read for any Yuri Fan who likes the Warm and Fuzzy Feeling as well as a realistic, well-developed story.
