  • Before making a single edit, Tropedia EXPECTS our site policy and manual of style to be followed. Failure to do so may result in deletion of contributions and blocks of users who refuse to learn to do so. Our policies can be reviewed here.
  • All images MUST now have proper attribution, those who neglect to assign at least the "fair use" licensing to an image may have it deleted. All new pages should use the preloadable templates feature on the edit page to add the appropriate basic page markup. Pages that don't do this will be subject to deletion, with or without explanation.
  • All new trope pages will be made with the "Trope Workshop" found on the "Troper Tools" menu and worked on until they have at least three examples. The Trope workshop specific templates can then be removed and it will be regarded as a regular trope page after being moved to the Main namespace. THIS SHOULD BE WORKING NOW, REPORT ANY ISSUES TO Janna2000, SelfCloak or RRabbit42. DON'T MAKE PAGES MANUALLY UNLESS A TEMPLATE IS BROKEN, AND REPORT IT THAT IS THE CASE. PAGES WILL BE DELETED OTHERWISE IF THEY ARE MISSING BASIC MARKUP.

  • Darkwing Duck:
    • Taurus Bulba's Gang
      • Big Bad - Bulba
      • The Dragon - Hammerhead Hannigan
      • The Evil Genius - Mouth
      • The Brute - Hoof
      • The Dark Chick - Clovis
      • Team Pet - Tantalus
    • Fearsome Five
      • Big Bad - Negaduck, the definite leader, who fits the other roles so well, too - right down to Dark Chick.
      • The Dragon - Megavolt, with a flashy, obvious power and a popularity that might just be the greatest both among the fandom and among the writers.
      • The Evil Genius - Bushroot, botanist whose plant attacks are relatively indirect and often bolstered by experimental chemistry.
      • The Brute - Liquidator, a water elemental whose innate power is potentially far greater in terms of raw threat than anyone else in the show, whose weakness is that he is relatively unimaginative.
      • The Dark Chick - Quackerjack, whose special ability is "wackiness" (his 'gimmick' of making deadly toys isn't a superpower).
  • Fairly Oddparents"-The other holidays in "Christmas Everyday!"
  • Family Guy
    • Big Bad - Carter
    • Demoted to Dragon - Stewie
    • The Evil Genius - James Woods
    • The Brute - Bertram
    • The Dark Chick - Ernie the Giant Chicken
  • Futurama
    • Big Bad - Lrrr
    • The Dragon - Zapp Brannigan
    • The Evil Genius - Robot Devil
    • The Brute - Richard Nixon
    • The Dark Chick - Mom
  • Gargoyles: The Pack
    • Big Bad: Fox. Pulls double duty as the Smart Guy. Later replaced by Coyote.
    • The Dragon: Wolf. Constantly trying to take over (from Coyote; he didn't seem to mind working for Fox), but failing miserably.
    • The Evil Genius: Dingo. Combat Pragmatist who prefers explosives and long-range weapons. Besides Fox, the most level-headed of the group.
    • The Brute: Jackal. Actually, both he and his sister Hyena fill the brute roles. They both love to slice and dice with mean claws.
    • The Dark Chick: Hyena, basically just by gender-based process of elimination, as usual.
  • Jackie Chan Adventures: The Dark Hand
  • The Legion of Super Heroes: The Fatal Five
  • Lilo & Stitch: The Series
    • Big Bad - Dr. Hämsterviel, the main villain of the series.
    • The Dragon - Gantu, former captain of the Galactic Federation, now left to work for Dr. Hämsterviel, and is the most recurring antagonist while Hämsterviel is locked up.
    • The Evil Genius/Sixth Ranger Traitor - Jumba, who helped Hämsterviel with the experiments in the past, referring himself as the "genius" to Hämsterviel's "evil." He is now Hämsterviel's enemy.
    • The Brute - Leroy, A.K.A. Experiment 629, who was stronger than Stitch, and unlike the other experiments, could not be turned good. Some other experiments that work with Gantu can serve this role in other episodes, with Gantu himself being a bit of a brute.
    • The Dark Chick - Reuben, a.k.a. Experiment 625, who has all of Stitch's abilities, yet is quite lazy. He does make great sandwiches though.
    • Tag Along Kid - Mertle Edmonds, Lilo's rival.
  • Looney Tunes:
  • Mickey Mouse & Friends:
  • Minoriteam: The White Shadow
    • Big Bad - The White Shadow himself, a Modern Major-General if there ever was one
    • The Dragon - The Corporate Ladder, a cowardly backstabbing yes-man.
    • The Evil Genius - The Standardized Test, a gigantic supersmart robot
    • The Brute - Racist Frankenstein, Dumb Muscle straight out of the Ivy League
    • The Dark Chick - Seamus MacFisticuffs, a hairy, leprechaun-like Irishman
    • Sixth Ranger - Danger Doom. That is, he would be, if he ever showed up at the meetings or returned the White Shadow's calls...
  • Real Monsters
  • Samurai Jack: The Bounty Hunters
    • Big Bad - Princess Mira, a deposed royal desperate to regain her kingdom by killing Jack for Aku
    • The Dragon - Jujunga, an intimidating indigenous Australian whose blowdarts are tipped with the deadliest poisons.
    • The Evil Genius - I and Am, catlike creatures with Twin Telepathy and more cunning between them than the rest of the group, Mira excluded, combined.
    • The Brute - Boris, a tremendous Russian who doesn't know the meaning of the word "finesse." Overestimates his own abilities; His plan for killing Jack hinged on Jack's sword breaking against his skin. Extremely dimwitted.
    • The Dark Chick- The Gentleman, a Southern style dandy and master of the duel. Equipped with Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness and Dual-Wielding knives
    • Bigger Bad - Aku
  • The Simpsons:
  • Spider-Man
    • The Insidious Six from the 90's Spider-Man series
      • Big Bad - The Kingpin, The Man Behind the Man for the team.
      • The Dragon - Doctor Octopus, field leader and the most competent.
      • The Evil Genius - Mysterio, his tech and resources are heavily used in their initial plot against Spider-Man.
        • Also applies to Doctor Octopus, especially following Mysterio's death.
      • The Brute - Rhino and Scorpion share this role as both are good for raw brawn and not much else.
      • The Dark Chick - The Shocker, relatively the least formidable.
      • Sixth Ranger - The Chameleon, the most distant of the group, betrays them in their last incarnation. Also the Vulture is a more fitting example, replacing Mysterio after his supposed death.
    • The Sinister Six (The Spectacular Spider-Man version)
      • Big Bad - Doctor Octopus, the leader of the bunch and probably the most competent.
      • The Dragon - Electro, who wields more raw power than anyone else on the team, and is also the most loyal to Doc Ock.
      • The Evil Genius - Vulture, a Gadgeteer Genius.
      • The Brute - Sandman and Rhino share the position.
      • The Dark Chick - Shocker. The closest thing to an ordinary guy on the team. While quite formidable, his teammates tend to outstrip him in power and/or smarts.
  • Teen Titans
    • The Brotherhood of Evil
      • Big Bad and Evil Genius- The Brain (he's the leader of the whole group, and far away the most intelligent)
      • The Dragon- Monsieur Mallah (the Brain's loyal and powerful enforcer)
      • The Brute- Madame Rouge (she's not dumb, but uses brute force the most and usually gets sent to do kidnappings and killings)
      • The Dark Chick- General Immortus (why exactly was he there again? EXPERIENCE!)
  • Transformers Animated
    • Decepticons (Notably, they don't really come together like this until the final episodes)
      • Big Bad - Megatron
      • The Dragon - Starscream initially, then Blitzwing takes the role
      • The Evil Genius - Shockwave (Soundwave normally takes this role, but he never actually joins the group in this series)
      • The Brute - Lugnut
      • Wild Card - Starscream, along with all his clones
  • Transformers Prime
    • Big Bad- Megatron
    • The Dragon- Starscream though following his defection, the role now seems to rotate among Soundwave, Knock Out, and Airachnid, depending on Megatron's mood.
    • The Evil Genius- Soundwave and Knock Out (Soundwave is the espionage expert, Knock Out is tech advisor and medic)
    • The Brute- Breakdown
    • The Dark Chick- Airachnid
    • Sixth Ranger: Dreadwing, who joins in season 2 and several episodes later is promoted to the vacant Dragon position.
  1. Mainly in their first and most antagonistic appearance.
