• Before making a single edit, Tropedia EXPECTS our site policy and manual of style to be followed. Failure to do so may result in deletion of contributions and blocks of users who refuse to learn to do so. Our policies can be reviewed here.
• All images MUST now have proper attribution, those who neglect to assign at least the "fair use" licensing to an image may have it deleted. All new pages should use the preloadable templates feature on the edit page to add the appropriate basic page markup. Pages that don't do this will be subject to deletion, with or without explanation.
• All new trope pages will be made with the "Trope Workshop" found on the "Troper Tools" menu and worked on until they have at least three examples. The Trope workshop specific templates can then be removed and it will be regarded as a regular trope page after being moved to the Main namespace. THIS SHOULD BE WORKING NOW, REPORT ANY ISSUES TO Janna2000, SelfCloak or RRabbit42. DON'T MAKE PAGES MANUALLY UNLESS A TEMPLATE IS BROKEN, AND REPORT IT THAT IS THE CASE. PAGES WILL BE DELETED OTHERWISE IF THEY ARE MISSING BASIC MARKUP.

• Alas, Poor Villain: The death of Kate and the revelation of her purpose is a very sad moment.
• And the Fandom Rejoiced: The return of old favorites like Litra, Juran, Telesdon, Bullton, Golza and Gan-Q for multiple generations.
• Adaptation Distillation: Gomora is still a hardcore, close combat beast, but is a protagonistic character.
• Alternative Character Interpretation: When you realise Ray is forcibly capturing monsters of near-human level intelligence withoyt consent, and trapping them inside a bottle in card form and only releasing them to fight monsters that will generally kick the ass of said captured monsters (and this is their only freedom)....
• However, the sequel series reveals they are actually loyal to him to the point Eleking even performs a Heroic Sacrifice for him.
• Badass Decay: Red King, from the first episode on.
• Complete Monster: Kate appears do be one until you realise her motivation (she's still evil as heck though).
• King Joe Black also appears to be an emotionless murderer until you realise h is a Pedan Seijin Robot in the next series. He may, however, be somewhat sentient.
• Crazy Awesome: Captain Hyuga and King Joe Black.
• Crowning Moment of Awesome: Fire Golza vs Gomora and ZAP Spacy. This battles shows just how hardcore Kate's monsters are via the total beatdown of Gomora, and how much stronger they are than Rei's, and also features and epic stand-of at its tail. One of the very best battles in the series.
• Gomora's, Eleking's and Littra's battle with Zetton. Specifically Gomora's absolute refusal to give up, seemingly raging against not only the monster and his mistress, but against the convention that the Big Bad must always cripple the hero and leave him for dead. He may have lost, but had Zetton spared an inch, he would've been no more.
• Also, the rise of EX Gomora and Reionyx, and the subsequent Curb Stomp Battle the former dishes out.
• King Joe Black is a walking CMOA, but his finest moment may be when he takes on and curbstomps all three of Rei's monstes AND ZAP Spacy without so much as a scratch.
• And when he deflects Zetton's super-powerful Rechannel Ray with his bare hand/hand cannon.
• Also, Red King vs Gomora.
• For some fans, the revelation of Kate' third monster- Zetton.
• Also, the grand return of Bullton definitely counts from the fandom perspective.
• Crowning Music of Awesome: The main tune, especiall during the Zetton/Gomora battle.
• Also, Eternal Traveler in the final battle against Zetton and Gomora.
• Ear Worm: Eternal Traveler by Kazuya Daimon.
• Evil Is Cool: Kate's monsters are far more powerful than Rei's.
• Evil Is Sexy: Kate.
• Also, King Joe Black. Just King Joe Black.
• Fashion Victim Villain: Kate, very much. Just look at her.
• Fan Wank: This series and its precedessor, Ultraman Mebius, heavily invoke this trope.
• Hard Core: Fire Golza, tanking Gomora's OHKO atack and still being able to yank him from his chest and engage in a stand-off.
• Just Here for Godzilla: Many of the viewers only watch this show for the kaiju and their battles.
• Most Wonderful Sound: Zetton's signature, er, noise thingy- Z-Ton.
• Squick: For all his jerkassery, Bemstar is one of the cutest monsters in the whole show. But hey, what's that stone tablet on his chest. Actually, its a second mouth, which you know, opens to reveal his insides.
• Uncanny Valley: Bullton is a blob monster....on acid.
• Gan-Q is asically a huge eye with tiny arms and legs.
• Familiarity aside, Zetton looks incredibly bizzare, with his single vertical visor of an eye, pipe-like arms, and humanoid atature despite his status as a Space Dinosaur.
• Nova is a bright red rain ornament with a cute little skull for a head- 50 metres tall and armed with a scythe!
• The Woobie: All of Rei's monsters, but Eleking in particular. However, his suffering in this series pales in comparison to what he will get midway the next series.
• Oki and Rei too.
